Mustang Band Reminders and Announcements for the week of July 29, 2024

Tomorrow is our Band Registration Day. This will be held in the H.S. Band Hall from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. with a short break for lunch.

School Physicals and Rank One should be completed and submitted on or before August 1st.

Our report time for Monday morning’s summer band schedule is 7:00 a.m. The band will start our day by performing for the “New Teacher” breakfast. Students will meet in the High School Band Hall to warm up for our performance which will take place in the Commons. Our day will conclude at 4:30 p.m. Special note – students should wear the 2024 Show Shirt and school appropriate shorts for our performance at the “New Teacher” breakfast on Monday morning. Show shirts can be picked up on Band Registration Day.

Summer Band Schedule for the remainder of the week is 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The next payment for Hawaii 2025 is due on or before July 31, 2024. Payments can be made online using the district’s Revtrak system. This is the preferred method but arrangements can be made for payments via cash or check.



Summer Band Reminders:

Eat a healthy breakfast each day

Bring your water jug so we can all stay hydrated

Wear sunscreen

Pack a healthy lunch

Bring sunglasses and a hat

Wear clothing that is appropriate for physical activity, including athletic shoes – please consider the heat

It would also be a good idea to bring a few snacks to have throughout the day. These can be used to “re-fuel” during our breaks.

Be sure to bring reeds and mouthpieces and your phone (fully charged). We will be playing each day and using our phones while learning drill.
