FCCLA is the Family & Consumer Sciences Department student organization that supports the courses taught. It teaches the student leadership skills, encourages community involvement and connects what we do with strong family ties. The MFHS chapter is involved in community projects, both on campus and in the community; they attend area, regional and state meetings as well as compete in a variety of events called STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events & LEO (Leadership Enhancement Opportunity) Tests. Membership is $30.00 and can be paid up front, in installments, or students can get involved in chapter fundraisers that will earn them their membership. Club Meetings are the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month in room 427 starting with meet and greet at 7:45 AM and opening ceremony at 7:50 AM
